WELCOME TO
Turkey
It’s been 35 years since my dad stepped foot in Turkey and from the stories I’d heard as a child my eagerness to finally relive his experiences exploded when we landed in Istanbul. And, after spending 2-weeks stuck in a camper van together in the western world, we couldn’t have been more ready for a change of pace. The energy and history were tangible from the moment we landed in Istanbul and our adventure never ceased as we explored underground cities that housed 80,000 people, towering chimney-like caves, bustling bazaars filled with so many sugary treats every child would be in heaven, and a beautiful southern coast turned into British hell.

Southern Coast of Turkey: Kas & Antalya
We spent our 2-weeks in Turkey doing a cut-down version of my dad’s 6-week hitchhiking adventure. Starting in Istanbul, making our way to the now famous Cappadocia, and finishing with a self-drive along the Southern Coast.
TBD: The Southern Coast of Turkey
During our stay, we were able to experience a plethora of activities, food, accommodation, drives, excursions, (some touristy stuff), and met a number of people along the way that helped make our experiences - wonderful. Here are some guides that give insight into our trip, but also offer some ideas around where to stay, what to do, where to eat and in many cases some contacts to folks we know will enhance your adventure
